About Us

Float A Goat Games LLC. is a small games company created by four friends with a variety of skills and an abundance of free time. We started with a simple idea: If we like playing table top games, why couldn’t we make them? We got together early in 2011 and started throwing around some ideas. The real breakthrough that made us think we had a shot was when we grabbed a stack of index cards, made our first prototype and just played it. To our great surprise the game was a blast and we wanted to keep playing it. We had a lot of work ahead of us, but almost six months later we created a truly inspired product that lived up to our expectations. Our first project has simple rules, a variety of play options, and great re-playability, look for its release in early 2012!

As a company we are seeking to make games that are fun and affordable. We strive for creative game play and innovative game mechanics. We support small hobby shops and gaming stores, but look to be accessible to everyone who wants to play our games. We are working to have games that are above and beyond the quality standards people know. We are Float A Goat Games and we want you to have fun.

The Team:

Jameson Carbary, Founder and C.E.M.

Jae is a scientist by day and a board game engineer by night. Working as the groups original founder and idea man, he brings a lot of games to the table that the rest of team makes functional and fun. He loves to work on concept and feel for games rather than pure mechanics, but still enjoys seeing a project come together. His main game interests revolve around team work and strategy games.

Out side of the company he enjoys many hobbies: Gaming, crafting, drawing, writing, knitting, keeping up with current science; He plans to integrate many facets of his small project into Float a Goat Games in some way or another throughout the company’s life span.

Noah Lane, Lead Designer and Art Director

Noah is a truly inspired graphic designer working primarily with computer graphics and logos. He has done a fair amount of graphic design work prior to the start of FGG and continues to work on other projects daily. Noah is the sole artist behind Birds! and our other yet to be announced card game.  He is also the lead for overall production of our art handling printing issues and industry standardization.

Noah is also a rather decent guitarist and is currently working to produce a solo album titled Dan in the Moon Light (album may not actually exist). Noah is the person to talk to if you are an artist interested in working with FGG and he would gladly look over a digital portfolio if one was to be e-mailed to us.

Dan Misura, Tech Director and WebMaster

Dan is our resident expert on computer tech, while others share some passion for technology, Dan is the one who makes things like this website happen! He is an avid electronic gamer, playing a variety of games, but favoring competitive team games, such as LoL, vintage Tribes, or SC2. Dan is our company’s tech coordinator as well, If you see something that isn’t working for you in the site please contact us and let him know. Dan is also known for being the muse for Noah Lanes debut solo album Dan in the moonlight (?).

Matt Onica, Lead Game Developer and Play Test Coordinator

Matt is a teacher by day, and hourly worker by night, and yet somehow he still finds time to work out all the things that he does with FGG. Matt is one responsible for making our game ideas into functional and playable games. He certainly does know his way around game mechanics. He also writes a column for the site here describing game mechanics and theory. You should check it out.

Matt is also the master of console games, old school and new school alike. He can beat several mega man bosses with his eyes closed. Seriously. If you want to get involved with play testing Matt is the one to contact.
