A physical change is reversible, a chemical change is not. For example, the freezing of water would be a physical change because it can be reversed, whereas the burning of wood is a chemical change - you can't 'unburned' it

The Physical changes refer to the change in form, shape and state of a substance. For example, change of liquid into solid, change of gas into liquid. These are changes can be easily reversed. But on the other hand, the chemical changes result in the formation of a new chemical substance by making changes in its molecular composition. For example, milk souring and eggs cooking. The changes are irreversible and so called as irreversible changes.
